The function of a push button or switch is to make and/or ( break (depending on how the switch is wired) the connection in an electric circuit.

We have to types of switches the push button and the slide switch. Both of these switches operated basically in the same way.

Please develop and submit a presentation that demonstrates your skills at breadboarding electronics please include the "prompts". As additions requirements develop and draw a circuit where two switches need to be activated in order the light the LED. Develop and draw a circuit with two switches where the LED is light with the activation of either of the switch.

Switch (222 NPN Transistor)

The transistor is a semiconductor device with three connections, capable of acting as a switch, for amplification, and rectification.

Transistors revolutionized electronic by replacing vacuum tubes. Transistors made coast to coast communications possible and changed history forever.

We are going to be investigating using a 222 NPN transistor as a switch

If the transistor is wired incorrectly it will become very hot do not touch the transistor. Just disconnect the battery and wait for the transistor to cool down.

The NPN Transistor will require the collector to be connected to the positive rail, the emitter to be connected to the negative rail and the base a small voltage to act as the switch or gate.
